Does Outriders support crossplay?

Outriders will release on a number of platforms - here's everything you need to know about crossplay.

Outriders feature multiple areas for players to explore, taking out numerous enemies and completing missions. You can choose to play this game by yourself or join up with two other players to form a three-person party. You’ll be able to do this on any platform that supports Outriders. The game also supports crossplay, so if you and a friend play on separate platforms, the two of you can still play with each other.

However, the crossplay feature is not immediately turned on. It’s something you have to switch and enable in your settings.

How to turn on crossplay

You can do this by visiting the options menu. This will take you to the settings, and from there, you want to go to the gameplay tab. It should be the first one.

Scroll all the way down, and you’ll see a ‘enable crossplay’ tab. It’s automatically turned off. All you have to do is switch the button to on, and you’ll be able to invite your friends to join your party. This setting is likely turned off by default to ensure players can interact with those on the same platform. It makes it easier for those playing on a console not to match those playing on a desktop.

With the crossplay setting turned on, it should remain on throughout your time playing Outriders. You and your friends need to have this setting in each game, so make sure everyone you want to party with has it turned on.
