It’s actually not that complicated, but it is thankfully hidden behind a few menus so you can’t just do it accidentally. If you want to factory reset your console, follow these quick easy steps to begin the process:

Before you do this, you should be aware that there is no question that asks you if you are sure, so make certain you want to do it before you start the process.

  1. Press the Xbox Button in the Middle of your Controller and cycle all the way to the left in the new Menu to your Profile.
  2. Click the “Settings” Option
  3. Scroll down to “System”
  4. Click “Console Info”
  5. Click “Reset Console”
  6. Click “Reset and Remove Everything”

After that, you won’t be able to do anything with your console until the process is complete. It will reset all your settings, personal information, credit card, and payment details, remove all your save files, and delete all your games. Any additional apps you have downloaded will be deleted, and all stored information and files will be removed

When the process is done your console will be factory reset and as good as new.
