How to get extra anima cells from Lost Dredgers in Torghast for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands

It's the Diablo crossover you never knew you wanted.

The Beast of Prodigum event has brought out a number of exciting new twists to Torghast in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. Not only can you pick up some new anima powers, but special escorts called Maw Beasts are available to escort you through the tower. We didn’t expect the WoW equivalent of Diablo’s loot goblins,, though, and their secrets are pretty incredible.

As you work through each floor of Torghast, keep your eyes out for an enemy called the Lost Dredger. They’re not hostile, but as soon as you launch an attack against them, they’ll make a run for the exit. They’ll leave behind their own personal trail of breadcrumbs in the form of Phantasma, and they’ll portal out of the area after channeling an anima cell.

Here’s where it gets interesting. If you use a Ravenous Anima Cell on the Dredger after they drop their cell but before they teleport out, the portal remains open, displaying as “Portal to ?” If you move through, you’ll find a room with a rare prize: vases full of anima.

The key to this portal is the timing of your Anima Cell use. If you’re slightly off, the Lost Dredger could transform into a pack of 75 Phantasma. You’ll have plenty of chances to practice, because the Lost Dredgers appear frequently throughout Torghast.
