As you might gather from the title, Advance Wars 1+2 Reboot Camp is a remake of the first two Advance Wars games on Game Boy Advance. The remake has been met with unfortunate real-world timing that forced it to delay its initial launch, and fans began to wonder if the game will ever see the light of day. Luckily, after a long hiatus with no new information, Nintendo was able to grace fans with further details about the release date for Advance Wars 1+2 Reboot Camp.

When will Advance Wars 1+2 Reboot Camp be released?
Reboot Camp was originally slated for a December 3 launch on Nintendo Switch but was delayed to spring 2022. Long after, an April 8 release date was leaked in the fall of 2021. Nintendo made the official announcement in a February 2022 Direct.
Unfortunately, Nintendo decided to delay Reboot Camp in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The company likely felt that releasing a game about tanks and warfare would come across as distasteful when literal tanks are being used to assault civilians in Ukraine. No new release date for Reboot Camp was revealed, and fans began to wonder if the remake will ever see the light of day as the war in Ukraine is ongoing.
Nintendo eventually gave fans a new launch date for Reboot Camp during the February 2023 Direct, revealing the game will now release on April 21.
Advance Wars 1+2 Reboot Camp will include the campaigns for Advance Wars and Advance Wars: Black Hole Rising. Players can choose from various Commanding Officers as they fight across the game’s maps. Each officer has their own special ability: Andy can repair units, while Sami can boost their abilities, for example. Reboot Camp also includes a multiplayer mode, letting up to four players command rival armies on a single map. And yes, the Commanding Officer powers come into play here too. Between multiplayer and the campaign, fans can expect a lot of strategies.
