How to get the Godskin Peeler in Elden Ring

Peel the flesh from their bones.

The Godskin Peeler is a Twinblade-class weapon in Elden Ring, one of only six you’ll find in your journey across the Lands Between. Thanks to a unique moveset and an even more unique Ash of War, it’s also one of the best in the game. Popular with Bleed builds and Faith builds alike, the Peeler is thankfully not too difficult to acquire, though you will need to take down a boss to get your hands on it.

Where to find the Godskin Peeler in Elden Ring

You get the Godskin Peeler, the weapon of choice of the Godskin Apostles, from one such enemy in the far north of the Altus Plateau, among the town of windmills. If you’re coming from the south, you’ll likely see multiple windmills up on the hill. The town is the easternmost set. The Windmill Heights Site of Grace is at the town’s base.

Once you reach the village, make your way to the top of the hill. A lonely Godskin Apostle waits there, and you’ll need to defeat him to get the Peeler.

This version of the boss is probably the easiest in all of Elden Ring, with the lowest health pool and damage output. That doesn’t make him much less dangerous, as he still has all the attacks and phases of his more powerful kin. Magic is one of the best ways to take this boss down, as the only answer he has for that is a slow-moving fireball that’s easy enough to dodge.

If you’re fighting the Apostle in melee, your best bet is baiting out any of its multi-hit attacks, then waiting for them to end. All of the boss’s attacks have a fairly generous recovery, giving you plenty of time to get damage in before combat begins again. Alternately, you can use Sleep Pots or St. Trina’s Arrows to put the Apostle to sleep for an effectively free kill. The Apostle’s second phase makes him a bit more dangerous, but if you can dodge any of its stretching attacks and stick near the lower part of his body, you have plenty of time for damage, as well. As soon as you defeat the Apostle, you’ll get the Godskin Peeler.

The Godskin Peeler comes default with Black Flame Tornado, one of the best PvE Ashes of War in all of Elden Ring thanks to its high stagger and damage over time. You can also infuse the weapon with whatever status effects available to you, with Bleed being of particular use on the weapon. If you manage to get two of the things, there’s almost nothing that won’t bleed out in just a few hits.
