The Remastered version of the original Dark Souls was announced on the Nintendo Direct Mini. And as the trend goes, there was a lot of speculation regarding the remaster, about how the graphics would be updated.

Dark Souls Remastered Technical Details

And a Dark Souls theorist VaatiVidya had some news for us as well regarding the remaster. VaatiVidya claimed that the remastered version would contain new assets from Dark Souls 3, will have HDR lighting and some PS4 Pro features.

However, the truth seems to differ from that as Vaati has already apologised on Twitter as well as correcting her information which was shared by her earlier. With the latest tweet, Vaati states that:

“So to correct a few things that I posted about yesterday – “Dark Souls Remastered will not include new assets based on the Dark Souls 3 engine or any combat differences. There is no HDR lighting for the PS4 Pro version”

Even if the game doesn’t use new assets or doesn’t have the HDR feature, it doesn’t rule out the possibility that it will have a new game engine. Even if the graphics might not be as good as it was expected, it won’t change the fact that it will have a solid gameplay So, it will be really interesting how the remaster turns out.
