Mario Rabbids Dev Working On AAA Game

Based in Italy, the team has worked on the much appreciated and surprising Ubisoft x Nintendo crossover but has a quite long track record when it comes to contributing to other IP from the same publisher (they had a supporting role for Ghost Recon Wildlands, for example).

“Our team is growing and we have various open positions for artists, animators, and programmers,” says a Twitter post from the software house. Interestingly, some of the offers give us an idea of what to expect from the game.

“Ubisoft Milan is looking for Gameplay Programmers for a prestigious AAA title. They will be involved in the development of gameplay elements, collaborating closely with game designers and other departments to define and improve features and interactions between player and game,” says one of the offers.

Each and every one of them claims the studio is working on “a prestigious AAA title,” which is rather suspicious. Considering how much beloved grow to be the original Kingdom Battle, it’s easy to foresee the new game is a sequel, but wouldn’t it be interesting to see the studio work on another IP?

Perhaps there’s a chance for a similar project to kick off now that the team has had good results and experience on Nintendo Switch.
