Fortnite fans who have made regrettable cosmetic purchases in the past will be excited to know that the in-game cosmetic refund system will make a return by June 1, according to a player support response.
A Reddit user by the name of TheTokenBanana89 sent a request to Epic Games player support and got a response that outlines just when the refund system will make a return.
“If you’d like a refund on a recently purchased cosmetic item in Fortnite Battle Royale, you’re in luck,” said the response message. “Our Self-Service Cosmetic Return feature will be live by June 1st!”
Once the feature returns, players will be able to refund up to three cosmetic purchases to replenish some of their V-Bucks. These items include emotes, gliders, pickaxes, back bling, and of course, outfits.
Checking the replies of any Fortnite tweets on Twitter will quickly alert you to the fact that many players are looking forward to the return of the refund system.
The refund system makes sense, really. A skin might have been really cool at the time of purchase, but when a new one comes out and that skin becomes obsolete, it would be cool to get your V-Bucks back. And soon, you can.
It’s not clear when exactly the refund system will be live, but “by June 1” means that it will be ready by the time next Friday rolls around. It’s possible that it could come with next week’s update and weekly reset, which usually comes on Tuesdays.
