World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth is officially out, but unfortunately, not every player is able to jump right in.
You guessed it—just upon launching the expansion, Blizzard’s login authentication servers took a hit, according to the company’s announcement today. So if you’re one of the many players unable to login to your account and take the fight to the Horde/Alliance, don’t worry, it isn’t just you.
Blizzard’s official announcement in the game client reads as follows:
“We are aware of an issue that is affecting out authentication servers, which may results in slow or failed login attempts. We are currently investigating the cause and will provide updates as soon as they are available.”
This means that Blizzard hasn’t identified what exactly is causing these issues just yet, but if you’d like to stay updated on the situation, you can follow Blizzard’s support Twitter account for updates.
