With E3 just around the corner, speculation of what to expect from the new Pokémon game coming to the Nintendo Switch is in full swing. Nintendo recently held an event in Barcelona, Spain and handed out a Nintendo Magazine that may have leaked information about the new Pokémon game coming to the Nintendo Switch. While some of this information may not be true, we could expect a whole new generation coming to the world of Pokémon.

This information came from Twitter user @raquerru, who posted several images of the magazine showing several pages. A small section of the magazine talks about Pokémon Switch and indicates that the eighth generation of Pokémon will lead the way, and that the Pokémon Company are rethinking the saga to surprise players with new mechanics. Also mentioned is that Pokémon Switch will arrive in 2018 or later, information that the Pokémon Company revealed last E3.

If we do see the eighth generation coming to Pokémon, it means that players will be exploring a brand new region and Pokémon to catch, continuing the tradition of the series. As for new mechanics, the list could mean anything from introducing a mini game mode or different interactions you can have with your Pokémon.

While all of this is just speculation at the moment, hopefully we will find more about what to expect during E3. I for one hope that the Pokémon Company and Game Freak decide to start all over and revamp the series on console, starting with the first generation of Pokémon. It would be a great way to reintroduce people to what made Pokémon so great. Starting from the beginning is just one of the many things we would like to see happen.
