Pokémon GO Community Day is back on May 19 and includes Charmander as the exclusive Pokémon to catch. Additional bonuses include three times stardust for each catch and three hour Lures.
Pokémon Community Day for April has come and gone. Trainers all over the world celebrated by catching the electric type Mareep with egg distance being reduced by one fourth, three hour lures, and the shiny variant. If you evolved your Mareep to Ampharos during the event, you were able to get the special move Dragon Pulse.
The Pokémon GO Community Day for May is heating things up and bringing the most popular Gen 1 starter with it. Starting May 19, you will be able to catch the Fire type Pokémon Charmander along with its shiny variant.
The additional bonuses that will take place during this Pokémon Community Day are of course three hour lures and three times stardust for each catch. This is a great time to increase your stardust with the star piece item to double the amount of stardust you receive. Get up to six times the stardust with each catch!
The shiny variant of Chamander will also been seen during the event as well and will be easily spotted due to its gold color. Charmander retains the gold color when evolving in to Charmeleon, but drastically changes when evolved in to Charizard. The gold color changes to a black when evolved in to Charizard, making it one of the most popular shiny variants in Pokémon.
Charizard will know a move that it normally doesn’t know during this Pokémon GO Community event as well, but that has not been released yet. Once it is known, we will be sure to update this as soon as it is announced. This Pokémon GO Community Day will surely be the most popular yet!
