Capcom just announced the highly anticipated Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate coming to the Nintendo Switch on August 28.

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate is the follow up to the highly popular Monster Hunter Generations. Hunters will face off against the series’ largest roster of monsters in this look back at the series’ beginnings and evolution. Players take on the role of a brave hunter on an adrenaline fueled adventure challenging larger-than-life beasts. Along the journey, hunters must defend the four villages from the major threats known as the Fated Four, plus an even more dangerous Elder Dragon.

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate will feature a blend of classic gameplay and unique twists, brand new areas, new monsters, and returning fan favorites like the Zinogre and Nargacuga. A new quest level called “G” rank will feature even more formidable versions of familiar foes.

For those new to the series, gameplay features tons of powerful moves called Hunter Arts that can be executed with a quick tap on the touch screen. Choose from six different hunting styles including two new ones called Brave Style and Alchemy Style.

Brave Style will reward players with new moves for landing successful attacks. Alchemy Style is a support style that grants the ability to create useful items during combat.

Those players of the original Monster Hunter Generations can transfer save data from the previous title and continue their journey in Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate. Don’t forget to bring your friends along as for the first time; players will have the ability to play both local wireless and online multiplayer with up to three other hunters.

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate is sure to be just as exciting and action packed as the rest of the series. Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate will release on August 28 for the Nintendo Switch, and you can bet that I will be getting it on release date.
