GTA Online Leaks And In-Game Changes Hint At Next Update Content

Some leaks and in-game changes are strongly hinting that the next GTA Online update will center around the Casino.

A Twitter user known for having some scoops when it comes to information on GTA Online has tweeted that the game’s next update will feature the Casino. Apparently minor in-game changes will start to appear around the Casino as it gets ready to open in the game.

This makes some sense, thematically. Casinos have always been a large element of the criminal world, and especially in the types of movies that have inspired the Grand Theft Auto series. Apparently, over the next couple of weeks, in-game changes will make it look like the casino is under constructed as it gears up to open its doors to the public.

As for what kind of missions or content could be based around the Casino, that is anyone’s guess. I imagine a big hitter would be a new Heist, and once again the idea of robbing a casino has been a cinematic staple for years. It could also provide a unique experience for players, and would certainly be a huge amount of fun. A lot of people in the Grand Theft Auto Online community have been expecting this for a while.

Whether or not the Casino will make way for gambling minigames is another thing entirely. Because you can buy Shark Cards with real-world money, it simply may be too much of legal issues to allow people to buy in-game cash with real money, then gamble it all away. There may even be some worry about how the odds are calculated in these gambling minigames and the lack of transparency involved.

Either way, it is all just rumors for now, but if I had to place a bet, I would say that the casino will be tied to a new Heist if it is part of the next update.
