PS5 Reveal Rumored For February 2020’s PlayStation Meeting

This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information

According to a rumor which has just popped up on 4chan, a new PlayStation Meeting might be scheduled for February 12, 2020 and focused on PS5. The next-generation console would be revealed for the first time, most likely (as it happened with PlayStation 4) ahead of an E3 strong presence.

According to a rumor which popped up on 4chan, a new PlayStation Meeting might get scheduled for Feb. 12, 2020, focused on the PS5. The next-generation console might get revealed for the first time, most likely ahead of its E3 strong presence.

The information in question is said to be coming from a “former senior marketing manager” at PlayStation who sent an email to general marketing managers. They planned, among other things, this PlayStation Meeting for next year. The organization of the event seemingly began during June 2019.

Invitations have already been sent, according to this rumor. They went to some of the biggest developers and publishers around, “including Activision, Square Enix, Ubisoft, EA,” as the event mainly aims to present the PlayStation 5 to the world.

The Last of Us Part 2 and Ghost of Tsushima are said to be a part of the event as, considering “the large financial investments made by the company to guarantee the best possible performance.” Both titles will showcase what the next-gen console will be capable of doing in terms of power.

So, as I already said, this strategy is nothing new to PlayStation and looks somewhat legit if you consider they followed the very same steps in the occurrence of the PS4 reveal. At this time it’s only a rumor.
