Teppen has been gaining a lot of steam since releasing in early July. Now it is adding its second post-launch character. Nero from Devil May Cry joins the evolving roster of Capcom characters.

Nero is the second DMC character in the game, joining Dante. He will likely bring several cards inspired by the series with him when he arrives in November. Capcom revealed that Nero would be the next character coming to the digital TCG during its Teppen presentation at the 2019 Tokyo Game Show.

There is no news on what element he represents in the game. But since Jill Valentine joined Ryu and Rathalos in Red, there is a pretty clear path for Nero representing Purple. Dante and Morrigan are that element’s current reps. But it makes more sense for him to play in that style rather than the more defensive Green or for Capcom to place him in Black.

Nero will be joining the game along with the next, unnamed Teppen expansion. Along with this announcement, Capcom and GungHo are giving players a pack of the recent Day of Nightmares expansion every day as a login reward starting on Sept. 20.

Since Jill brought along a Resident Evil themed expansion, the next expansion with Nero has a high chance of being DMC themed. The upcoming series will likely add a lot of strong cards for Purple and whatever his element is – if it is not the same as Dante.
