Nintendo’s next retail location has an official grand opening date.
Considering that Nintendo’s New York retail location has been a massive success since it opened in 2005, one has to wonder why they haven’t opened up a new store yet. That’ll change soon, as the company has a grand opening date for its Nintendo Tokyo store.
It’ll open on Nov. 22 in the new Shibuya Parco shopping center, right in the heart of Tokyo’s Shibuya shopping district on the sixth floor. It’s going to offer several games for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS. There will also be demo stations available, featuring new games like Ring Fit Adventure and more.
But there’s more. Like the New York location, Nintendo Tokyo will have an array of exclusive merchandise for consumers to buy. Soranews24 provided an image of what the company will have on hand — and there’s some pretty cool stuff here.
As you can see, the items include a pin set, rubber keychain straps, collectible shirts, a water bottle, and even a collector’s chocolate bar.
These goods will likely go fast during the store’s opening, but Nintendo has a way for fans to get their orders in beforehand. It’ll host two pre-open events, with the first one taking place on Nov. 20 and the second to follow on Nov. 21. 250 lucky fans can purchase items each day. To get an opportunity to do so, they need to fill out an online application. You can do so here.
It’s a big moment for die-hard Nintendo fans, and a prime opportunity to get your hands on the exclusive goods. So if you’re in the Shibuya area, sign up. Good luck!
