A rumor about Diablo 4 arrived on Reddit in 2018. Most of the things turned out to be true when the game officially got revealed at BlizzCon 2019, as shared by DSOGaming.

The rumor detailed the game was going to receive a reboot to the franchise, similarly to “the latest God of War that was released in April for the PlayStation 4 in 2018.” It was also told that fans “who wanted a Diablo II Remake” would get what they wanted.

Diablo 4 was said to be “a GaaS (game as a service) with regular patches and free content.” This statement and approach make sense, based on Blizzard’s approach to Diablo 3.

The rumor reports, “you can trade items in the game with other players, such as gold, basic crafting materials (but not special crafting materials as they are soulbound) and any loot ranging from grey quality and all the way up to rare yellows.”

We don’t know if Legendary items will be tradable.

Finally, the rumor shared the game will launch with five classes: Paladin, Barbarian, Sorcerer, Amazon, and Druid. The only classes not revealed yet are Paladin and Amazon. After the game’s launch, there are rumors about the Necromancer being the first new class.

On top of that, there’s going to be a beta phase starting sometime in 2020. The full launch of Diablo 4 happens in 2021. It looks legit if you consider that PlayStation 4and Xbox One were mentioned right away in the rumor, but also that it will take a long while before the release.
