Get a First Look at Babylon’s Fall, PlatinumGames’ Take on the Hardcore Action RPG

Square Enix and Platinum Games are at it again.

You may remember that PlatinumGames and Square Enix announced a new game called Babylon’s Fall last year. Or you may not, since the companies went completely silent on the topic afterward. But today, during Sony’s Dec. 2019 State of Play, we all got a serious wake-up call.

A new teaser trailer gives a first look at the gameplay for the upcoming action title, which looks to be a hybrid between Bayonetta and Dark Souls, with fluid, fast-paced action and a beautiful brushstroke art style to bring it all together. Check out a first glimpse at gameplay below.

Japanese studio PlatinumGames is known for titles like this year’s Astral Chain, the Bayonetta series, and its previous collaboration with Square Enix, Nier: Automata, so you can expect Babylon’s Fall to carry a similar level of visual excitement.

According to a post on the Playstation Blog, we can expect more information on the title in summer 2020. A release date has not yet been announced.
