All Brimshine locations in the Burning Shores DLC
In this section, we’ve outlined every location where you can get Brimshine. This resource isn’t marked on the map like Greenshine is in Horizon Forbidden West, making it harder to track down. Use the descriptions and map references below to boost your Brimshine collection quickly.
Brimshine Locations in Fleet’s End
There are four locations where you can find Brimshine in Fleet’s End. The first is easy to find because it’s under a waterfall on the edge of the main settlement just before you hit the beach. See above for a map reference for this Brimshine Sliver that will give you 1 Brimshine.

The second Brimshine location in Fleet’s End is on the northern shoreline next to some rocks. This is another Brimshine Sliver that will give you 1 Brimshine. See above for a map reference for this location.
The third location where you’ll find Brimshine in Fleet’s End is behind some rocks that you can burst open using Aloy’s Pullcaster. You’ll find a path through a small hill as you explore the settlement. The wall is partway through this tunnel. Behind the wall, you’ll find a Brimstone Fragment worth 2 Brimshine. See above for a map reference for the wall and this Brimshine.
The fourth and final location where you can find Brimshine in Fleet’s End is a bit of a puzzle. First, you need to find a Key Module. This is located in the same place as the Brimshine Sliver under the waterfall. See above for a map reference for this location.
There’s a vent above the waterfall that Aloy can use her Pullcaster on to zip to and break open. You’ll find the Key Module inside, but it’s not immediately apparent what this is used for.
Where to use the Key Module in Fleet’s End
The Key Module found in Fleet’s End is used to open the door by the main bridge in and out of the settlement. If you’re coming into Fleet’s End from the bridge, you must enter the ruined building on your left to find the door where this Key Module is used. See below for a map reference for this location.
Use the Key Module to open the door, and you’ll find a Brimshine Chunk on your right as you go through. This will award you with a whopping 3 Brimshine.
To The Burning Shores Quest Brimshine Locations
You can uncover three Brimshine locations while playing through the first main quest in the Burning Shores DLC, To The Burning Shores. After you meet up with Seyka, you’ll head to the tower with the weapon at the top. The Brimshine is inside this tower as you climb. See above for a map reference for the tower.
The first location is on the first or second floor of the tower. It’s not hard to find since it’s on the main path you and Seyka take to climb up. This one’s a Brimshine Fragment worth 2 Brimshine.
The second is a Brimshine Sliver worth 1 Brimshine that you’ll find as you climb the tower’s exterior. You’ll exit the current floor and come to a breathtaking view. The Brimshine Sliver should be on your right.
The last Brimshine location in this tower and this mission is at the very top. Once you’ve defeated the Drone enemy, you’ll get your Sunwing back. Use it to fly high and then glide down to the upper floors, where you can pick up a Brimshine Chunk worth 3 Brimshine with your Focus.
Heaven and Earth Quest Brimshine Locations
Three Brimshine locations are stretched across the Heaven and Earth quest in the Burning Shores DLC. The first one is underneath a bridge close to where you land at the beginning of this quest. Use Aloy’s Focus to look around, and you should see the Birmshine Fragment poking out from under the bridge to the next island. See above for a map reference for this location.
The second Brimshine location in this quest comes when you’re inside the facility. When you find the engine, check underneath it to get a Brimshine Fragment worth 2 Brimshine.
The third Brimshine location is on the top floor of the facility you explore in this quest. Check the corner of the corridor to find 10 Brimshine. See above for a map reference for this location.
Brimshine Locations in Southwest Island
The island in the bottom left-hand side of the Burning Shores map, which doesn’t have a name, holds two Brimshine Slivers for you to harvest. See the above image for a map reference for this island. You’ll visit this location as part of “The Splinter Within” side quest. This is the second island you’ll likely visit, where you must kill three Waterwings. You can find one Brimshine Sliver inside a small outcrop in one of the rocks on the shoreline on the island’s northern beach. The second Brimshine Silver is on the eastern shore, up against another rock just below a ruined building.
Relic Ruin: Murmuring Hollow Brimshine Locations
Relic Ruin: Murmuring Hollow has a few Brimshine for you to collect. See above for a map reference for this location. You can find a Brimshine Fragment worth 2 Brimshine at the bottom of the elevator shaft, but there’s much more in this location. However, you’ll need to complete the Relic Ruin and move onto the side quest unlocked by doing so, A Friend in the Dark.
A Friend in the Dark Brimshine Locations
All the Birmshine locations found during the A Friend in the Dark side quest can be found underneath Relic Ruins: Murmuring Hollow. See the above entry for a map reference for this location. You’ll need to complete the Relic Ruins before you get this quest, but you can deliver deeper once you do. As you progress, you’ll find 1 Brimshine Fragment worth 2 Brimshine on the path down. Inside the main puzzle chamber, you can find 2 Brimshine Slivers worth 1 Brimshine each and one more Brimshine Fragment worth 2 Brimshine. It’s hard to miss these Brimshine deposits, so look around every inch of the puzzle chamber if you think you’ve missed one.
For His Amusement Brimshine Locations
There are 2 Brimshine Slivers worth 1 Brimshine in the For His Amusement quest. The first is located out at sea and can be found when you’re searching for Waterwing parts. See below for a map reference for this location.
The second Brimshine Sliver is found in the Reggie’s Adventure location on the amusement park island. You can find it at the top of the most inaccessible platform. Stuck right in the middle of it. See below for a map reference for this location.
His Final Act Brimshine Locations
There are 2 Brimshine Slivers worth 1 Brimshine in the His Final Act quest in the Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores DLC. The first can be found at the bottom of a drop just as you awaken the second Horus tentacle. When Aloy says she and Seyka need to hug the cliff, drop down the hole ahead of you to find this Brimshine Sliver. See above for a map reference for this Brimshine Sliver.
The second Brimshine Sliver is further into the quest. Just as you’re about to climb a wall into a sneaking section close to the coolant device, scan and look around for a Brimshine Sliver up against the cliff edge. See above for a map reference for the exact location.
Pangea Figurine Brimshine Locations
While searching for Pangea Figurines, a new set of collectibles in the Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores DLC, we encountered 1 Brimshine Sliver worth 1 Birmshine. This Brimshine Sliver is in the underground parking lot you must enter when looking for the Green Raptor Pangea Figurine. See below for an exact map reference for this Brimshine Sliver.
We will add more Brimshine locations as information becomes available.
What is Brimshine used for in Burning Shores DLC?
Brimshine is a new resource used for buying and upgrading the best gear in Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores. You probably first heard of it when speaking to the vendors at Fleet’s End. The legendary weapons and outfits there require large amounts of Brimshine to be exchanged if you want them. You’ll also use Brimshine to upgrade some of the gear from Burning Shores DLC, meaning it’s incredibly important if you’re crafting specific builds around concentration, stealth, or ranged combat.
Aloy comments that Brimshine smells like eggs when you first find it, leading us to believe Brimshine is sulfur. This mineral is spewed out by volcanoes, which is where it’s harvested in the real world, so it makes sense that it appears in the most volcanically active area in the Horizon franchise.
How to get Brimshine in Burning Shores DLC
To get Brimshine, you need to visit any of the locations listed in this guide and interact with the glowing yellow crystals called Brimshine Slivers. You’ll get a prompt to loot the Brimshine from them when you do. Each Brimshine Sliver gives you 1 Brimshine, a Brimshine Fragment gives you 2 Brimshine, and a Brimshiine Chunk gives you 3 Brimshine. You’ll need to make the most of every location you explore to accrue a lot of Brimshine and get some new outfits Burning Shores DLC adds, such as the Quen Commander, Quen Marine, and Nora Lookout armors.
