Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 has been little more than a rumor since the release of Infinity Ward’s MW2 in 2022, but we finally have confirmation of its release. Sledgehammer Games, one of three primary developers on Modern Warfare 3 (2011) and the lead studio behind Vanguard (2021), will be at the helm this time around.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 release date revealed
Activision has now confirmed via a rather quick announcement teaser that MW3 will be arriving on November 10, and will be This falls in line with Call of Duty’s yearly release cycle despite months’ worth of online debate over whether or not the franchise would be taking a year off in between releases.
Buyers beware, though – anyone who played Modern Warfare (2019) and this year’s follow-up will know that they are drastically different experiences from each other. While rumors have swirled about the return of staple multiplayer elements like red dots being on the minimap instead of the compass, there aren’t any confirmed gameplay details at this time.
Where Modern Warfare was a frenetic, high-intensity title, Modern Warfare 2 was far more subdued and emphasized a more methodical approach to its gameplay. No Warzone 2.0 integration has been announced yet, but more info will be rolling out as that November date draws near.
