How To Evolve & Strengthen Spirits – Primary Fighters
Super Smash Bros has more than 70 fighters, they are mostly Primary Spirits attached with an additional feature to upgrade their level. You will see “Enhanceable” below the Rank Star an indicator that this Spirit can be upgraded.
What To Do To Upgrade Spirits
First find the Spirit you want to Enhance, below the name of the Spirit you will see it’s Level, power meter, and a tab that says “Can Be Enhanced at Lv.99”. This is the spirit you have to work on, below are the methods to use for Level upgrade.
- Fight Battles
- Feed Snacks
By fighting Battles you will earn XP (Experience Points) that will fill up the Level meter. Keep looking for new challenges while exploring the massive map of Super Smash Bros and fight with all Spirit you find using the one that you want to upgrade.
How To Get Snacks
Feeding Snacks sound easier, but it is important to learn how to get them in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. They come in three different sizes Small, Medium and Large. The level will increase depending on what size of Snack you choose to feed.
- Defeat Opponents: Fight the opponents and beat them, at the end of each fight you will get some Snack you can feed the Spirit. You will also earn XP and Gold.
- Chest: There are treasure chest scattered across the big map, whenever you find one don’t ignore it. There are max chances you will get Snacks as well as other rewards.
- Purchase using Spirit Points: You can buy snacks using SP points from in-game Shop on map. Go to any shop in adventure mode and check once, if you have enough SP points you can spend some on Spirit upgrade.
- Buy From Smash Bros Ultimate Store: If you had enough Gold you can spend it in the Smash Bros Ultimate Store to buy snacks. To check go to Games & More > Shop from the Main Menu.
After upgrading the Spirit Level to Max the Level will reset to 1, but this time the Spirit is upgraded with new features and abilities. The attack and defense will be weaker at the start but will grow with every battle.
What Happens After Evolving Spirits
Once you reach Level 99, you can choose to Evolve that Spirit, press X for details and then select Yes. This will increase the Spirit’s Strength Limit and Add new Skills. But it will reset the Spirit Level to 1 that means you will continue working on the path of Level upgrade to make your Spirit more powerful. But it will be weaker at the beginning, so prefer easy opponents to battle. After Enhancing you will see the Spirit got a new costume or some even change their shape or name completely.
