Clay is just one of the many resources you will need to gather up in Grounded. Thankfully, it is not that difficult to find, but you will need to do a little bit of prep work before you are able to harvest it.
Where to find clay
You can find clay near any of the bodies of water on the map. It will look like a large, brown stone right on the edge of the water. To harvest it, you will need a shovel, as it will not break if hit by any other tool.
To make a shovel, you will need to make your way towards the large Oak Tree at the north of the map and look at the ground underneath it for a fallen acorn. When you find an acorn, smash it with you hammer and then loot the broken pieces. To make a shovel you will need the following resources:
- 2 x Sprig
- 3 x Woven Fiber
- 1 x Acorn Shell
Sprig
You can collect Sprigs all over the map, they are small plants that grow to roughly the height of your characters, and can be picked by interacting with them.
Woven Fiber
You can get Woven Fiber by picking up the smallest plants that grow in the game, which can be found just about anywhere. You need to bring it to an analyzer in a field tent and scan it, then you will be able to make Woven Fiber in the Materials tab of the Crafting menu.
Now that you have your shovel, just smash the clay with it until it breaks and you will be able to loot the pieces.
