The best FR 5.56 loadout in Call of Duty: Warzone

Time for the FR 5.56 to shine.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

The FR 5.56 Famas received a noticeable buff for season 5 of Call of Duty: Warzone. It now has an increased effective damage range, making it a better medium-range rifle. To get the most of this advantage, you want to compliment your rifle with the best attachments to take out targets further away.

Best FR 5.56 loadout for Warzone

Because of its increased range of damage, you want to focus on attachments that keep its recoil down, put a decent scope on it, have a suppressor, and control its aiming stability.

The monolithic suppressor is your best choice for your weapon’s muzzle, but you unlock at weapon level 62. In its place, the tactical suppressor works fine. You want to avoid using the lightweight suppressor because it lowers the FR 5.56’s damage range. For optics, the Solozero Optics Mini is a solid choice, but you can almost place whatever you’d like to use here. You primarily want a scope to fine-tune hitting someone far away, especially in an open space like Verdansk. The Granulated Grip Tape rear grip, the Forge TAC Ballast Pack stock, and the Commando Foregrip on your underbarrel slot all increase your aiming stability, giving you a better advantage from a distance.

None of these attachments should make it harder to fight targets that pop out in front of you. It’s mostly about enhancing your long-range capabilities because your close-range fighting with a FR 5.56 already takes out most players. The thing you want to be careful about is when you encounter another person who has the drop on you or is using one of the legendary LMGs.

  • Muzzle: Monolithic or tactical suppressor
  • Optic: Solozero Optics Mini
  • Rear Grip: Granulated Grip Tape
  • Stock: Forge TAC Ballast Pack
  • Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
