How to skip high school and college in NBA 2K21 MyCareer

Nothing a little VC can't fix.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

No one will blame you if you choose to jump straight into the action of 2K’s MyCareer Mode. Especially for NBA 2K21, the prelude of high school and college games can become a real slug of a time, as there are more than 10 games you’re required to play before making it into the big leagues. Thankfully, there is a way to bypass all of the story and non-NBA assortments.

What you will miss by jumping to the NBA

We must warn that if you do this, you will be missing a lot of material you may care about. For one, you obviously won’t know what the heck is going on in the story. More importantly, skipping your pre-professional career will mean that you lose the experience of being drafted. Instead, bypassing everything will force you to simply be on the team of your choosing.

Where to find the NBA-only MyCareer option

You’ll want to start by beginning a MyCareer as usual. Afterward, you’ll have the option to skip the introduction. This will send you to the MyCareer main menu, and there will be a “Neighborhood” option to click on. Typically, this sends players to the 2K Beach. Because you don’t have a player completely created yet, though, this will automatically send you to the NBA portion of MyCareer.

There is one thing you will need to access the league with this beautiful cheat. The game will ask you to pay 500 VC to jump right into the league. If you play a game or two of Play Now, it should reward you with enough VC to get you in without needing to fork over actual money. From there, you will be enjoying the same exact experience as every other user who made it into the NBA, so don’t worry about having to sacrifice anything more.
