Clay is an important resources for building new houses and structures in Medieval Dynasty. To find it, you will need to look to the ground, as clay appears in the game as raised areas of brown soil, often in the center of grassy regions.
You can’t simply dig clay up with your hands, however, and you will need a shovel to be able to gather this resource. To get a shovel, you will need to advance in the Building Technology tree. While the shovel may be the first step in the tree, you will need to earn Technology points to be able to buy the blueprint, or scheme, for this tool.
You can earn Technology points by performing actions that are related to the particular Technlogy tree that you want to buy from, so in this case that means harvesting and gathering resources. By chopping down trees, and mining stone, you will be able to earn plenty of technology points. When you have enough, you can then purchases the Shovel scheme and build the tool. If you don’t want to wait, you can buy one from a trader in the town, but this can be a little bit expensive in the early game.
Once you have the shovel, you can get busy gathering clay to help you with your buildings. You can find an easy to reach clay deposit on the outskirts of the start down. Just take the road that leads to the northwest, and you can find two mounds of clay to the left side of the road, among some trees.
