If your PC specs match with one of the requirements section above, the next step is to download the latest graphics driver (Game Ready Driver). Links are provided below.
Now let’s get straight into the fixes for fixes for AC: Odyssey PC performance issues.
1: FPS Drop And Low-Resolution Issue Fix
- Step 1: Go to the Nvidia Control Panel
- Step 2: Turn OFF MFAA (Multi-Frame Sampled AA)
This has been a major cause of frame-rate drop and low-resolution issue in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. So before starting your game make sure to turn this OFF by following the steps provided above.
2: Fix Stuttering And Get Stable 60FPS
Disable Fullscreen Optimization (Main Cause of Stuttering Issue): Here are the steps you need to follow to do this:
- Step 1: Go to the directory where you have installed Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
- Step 2: Right Click on ACOdyssey.exe file.
- Step 3: Select the “Compatibility” Tab
- Step 4: Check the option “Disable Fullscreen Optimization”
- Step 5: Click “Apply” and exit.
Set Max Pre-Rendered Frames to 1: Here are the steps you need to follow to do this:
- Step 1: Open Nvidia Control Panel
- Step 2: Select “Manage 3D Settings”
- Step 3: Select the tab that reads “Program Settings” (please note – there might a slight delay in loading this)
- Step 4: Now you have to either select Assassin’s Creed Odyssey or you can go ahead and CLICK ADD and add Assassin’s Creed Odyssey (note – the window might appear after a slight delay).
- Step 5: A long list of options will be available, scroll down till you come across an option that reads: “Max Pre-Rendered Frames” – set it to 1.
- Step 6: Select APPLY and Exit. The window might take a bit of time to close.
If you’re an AMD user, there’s no option to do the above settings directly. It’s possible but only with Registry Hack.
Note: Avoid using Rivatuner to cap FPS, it is one of the main cause of the severe stuttering issue. A lot of PC players have suggested setting the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey processor affinity to Normal from High in the Task Manager. Not many players have benefited from it, but it’s still worth a try.
3: Turn Off or Disable Level Scaling
In Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Level Scaling is turned ON by default. Ubisoft Support has stated that there is an option to change it (turn it OFF) in the Options MENU. Sadly, players are reporting that they can’t find the options in the menu. This seems to be a bug, and hopefully that Ubisoft fixes it via a patch as soon as possible.
Hi there! This is not a bug. You can change the enemy scaling in the options menu. Thanks!
— Ubisoft Support (@UbisoftSupport) October 2, 2018
Sorry but this is just not true. The option is just not available anywhere on Xbox One. All enemies scale with me.

I can’t seem to find this option anywhere, do you know where it is exactly?

4: Where To Find Deluxe Edition Bonus Item
If you have pre-ordered a higher edition of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, then you are eligible to get the Digital Edition bonus. This includes the Kronos Pack, which gives you access to a special weapon and armor, The Herald of Dusk Pack, which gives you an access to a special weapon and armor, and The Capricornus Naval Pack, which gives you access to new crew members and ship customization options.
After the opening fighting sequence between Leonidas and the Persians army, a cutscene will play and then you will be taken to the Kephallonia (431 BC). This is the place you will be meeting with your character, either Alexios or Kassandra (the character you meet depends on the choice you made at the start of the game). The very next moment you will have to fight a few thugs. Defeat them and you will get full access to your character, along with a pop-up message that some bonus content has been unlocked. This content is just but the Digital Edition bonuses. You will find them in your inventory.
Equip them by visiting their respective slots. The sad news is that you won’t be able to use them straight away—the weapons and armor come with certain level requirements, and you’ll have to fulfill those first. The Capricornus Naval Pack won’t be available to use until you take control of a ship (this happens a little later as you progress through the story, so this will take a while).
So this is how you get access to Digital Deluxe Edition content in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
More updates incoming…
