All Limgrave boss locations in Elden Ring

The opening area is full of fearsome foes.

The Soulsborne series is known for its striking boss designs, and Elden Ring is no exception. You’ll find a whole horde of big baddies to fight in The Lands Between, starting with the first region, Limgrave. Below is a list of all Elden Ring boss encounters in Limgrave, listed alphabetically.

The Beastman is the dungeon boss of Groveside Cave. The dungeon entrance is marked above.

Bell Bearing Hunter

The Bell Bearing Hunter boss appears in a few different locations throughout the game, but you’ll find him at the Warmaster’s Shack in Limgrave. Visit at night, and he’ll invade and attack you.

Black Knife Assassin

There are many Black Knife Assassins in The Lands Between, but this one happens to be the boss of Deathtouched Catacombs. See the dungeon entrance in the screenshot above.

Bloodhound Knight Darriwil

Darriwil is likely one of the first Evergaol bosses you’ll encounter. These enclosed arenas hold special boss fights that prevent you from summoning other players or Spirit Ashes. Bloodhound Darriwil is at the Forlorn Hound Evergaol, at the southern tip of Limgrave.

Crucible Knight

Like Darriwil, the Crucible Knight is found in an Evergaol. Specifically, it’s at the Stormhill Evergaol, in the hills near Stormveil Castle. Finding the knight is easy; beating it is the real challenge.

Deathbird

Several bosses in Elden Ring swoop in and attack you by surprise, and Deathbird is one of them. There are a few throughout the game, but the first one will flutter in at the spot marked above, in north-central Limgrave. It shows up at night.

Demi-Human Chief

If you want to reach the Church of Dragon Communion, you’re going to need to beat the Demi-Human Chief. It’s the boss of the Coastal Cave dungeon, marked above. Once it’s down, you can continue through the tunnel to the isolated dragon island.

Erdtree Burial Watchdog

You’ll have to fight the Erdtree Burial Watchdog a few times in Elden Ring, but the first encounter will likely be in the Stormfoot Catacombs. See the dungeon entrance above.

Flying Dragon Agheel

Like Deathbird, Flying Dragon Agheel will also sweep in and attack you suddenly at the spot marked above. Here’s how to beat it when it arrives.

Godrick the Grafted

Screenshot by Gamepur

Godrick is the first Shardbearer that most Elden Ring players will face (don’t worry, we have a boss guide for him too). He’s found at the end of Stormveil Castle, the large dungeon sitting atop Stormhill.

Grafted Scion

You literally can’t miss this one. The Grafted Scion appears at the Chapel of Anticipation, where the game begins. Even at this level, it is actually beatable. You’re expected to die though.

Grave Warden Duelist

The Grave Warden Duelist is another dungeon boss — you’ll fight a second boss version later in the game. The Murkwater Catacombs dungeon entrance is marked above, and here’s a guide for beating him when you get there.

Guardian Golem

This is another dungeon boss, found at the end of Highroad Cave. The dungeon entrance is in the screenshot above. We also have a boss guide for beating the golem when you get there.

Mad Pumpkin Head

Screenshot by Gamepur

Mad Pumpkin Head can be found a few times in Elden Ring, but its first appearance is at Waypoint Ruins in east Limgrave. Go to the entrance marked above to face him in a basement. Beat him, and you’ll meet Sorceress Sellen in the room beyond the boss fight.

Margit, the Fell Omen

Margit is the first real roadblock for many Elden Ring players. He guards the entrance to Stormveil Castle, and he guards it well. If you’re having trouble, don’t worry: he can be defeated.

Night’s Cavalry

Screenshot by Gamepur

There are a bunch of Night’s Cavalry riders in this game, but the first is found in Limgrave. At the name implies, they only show up at night. Go to the spot marked above to find this one.

Patches

Screenshot by Gamepur

Ah, Patches. FromSoftware’s favorite trickster is in this game too. In fact, he’s the boss of Murkwater Cave, the dungeon marked above. Just be sure not to actually kill him if you want to buy his wares.

Soldier of Godrick

Screenshot by Gamepur

This now-memed boss is found in the game’s tutorial area. When you awaken in the Stranded Graveyard, you’ll be near a hole. Drop down to enter the Cave of Knowledge. The Soldier of Godrick will duel you at the end of the tutorial there.

Stonedigger Troll

Screenshot by Gamepur

There’s a pair of Stonedigger Trolls in Elden Ring, but you’ll find the first one at the end of the Limgrave Tunnels dungeon. See the entrance above, and check our boss guide for the strategy.

Tibia Mariner

Screenshot by Gamepur

It’s not clear how the Tibia Mariner’s boat can actually sail across The Lands Between, but you’ll encounter it a few times. The first encounter is in Summonwater Village, marked above. Here’s how to beat the boss when it first rows in.

Tree Sentinel

Screenshot by Gamepur

The Tree Sentinel is likely the first field boss you’ll encounter. It patrols the road between the Stranded Graveyard and the Church of Elleh. Once you get your horse, you’ll be well equipped to beat it.
