The third Outlaw Pass released July 28th and with it, new rewards. After such a long wait, it might be difficult to decide if it is worth the gold to buy it and what the rewards are. Luckily, after months of grinding for gold, we have more than enough to spare to answer those questions.

How does the Outlaw Pass work?

The Outlaw Pass is Rockstar’s version of a season pass for skins and ingame cosmetics. As you level up in the Outlaw Pass, you unlock different rewards. The rewards vary from purchase-able cosmetics to discounts on horses, tack, clothes, and more. With the addition of the Naturalist role, the third Outlaw Pass expands the range of the camera and the scenes for outdoor and portrait photography.

All items in the Outlaw Pass

The third Outlaw Pass costs 40 gold and has 80 levels. Upon purchasing, you start at level one and are rewarded as such.

Is the Outlaw Pass worth it?

If you have the gold already, there’s no harm in getting it. It pays you back over time and you get that initial investment back. If you can only get the Outlaw Pass or the Role, get the Outlaw Pass. Yes that sounds counter intuitive, but because the Outlaw Pass pays back the gold you invest, you can use that gold to reinvest in the new role. At the very least, you can now pose for photos with your camp dog. We’d call that a win.
