All skills in Dying Light 2 Stay Human

There's nothing like a good ol' headstomp.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human gives you many options to take out all zombiekind, and there’s a skill tree to complete. From performing a windmill attack to making a wall run jump, here are all the skills you can expect in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.

Before we go through all the skills, you should know a few things. First, every skill costs one combat point, and as it’s a skill tree, you need the first ability to unlock the next. For example, to unlock the Dropkick, you’ll need to obtain the Air Kick skill. Some also require your health to be a certain amount, like Grapple Throw, which needs 180 health.

Combat Points

  • Vault Kick – You jump off a staggered enemy’s back and nail another with a vault kick.
  • Air Kick – You can kick zombies or humans below you.
  • Vault Power Kick – The force of your power kick dramatically increases and pushes enemies off a roof.
  • Dropkick – You can push back an opponent significantly backward if you perform this move while running.
  • Headstomp – You can stomp an enemy’s head that’s on the ground.
  • Grapple – Catching an enemy before they attack and moving them to the side.
  • Grapple Throw – You use the enemy’s momentum and knock them to the ground.
  • Perfect Dodge – Dodging at just the right moment staggers foes.
  • Perfect Parry – Perfect blocks now cause a slow-mo effect on enemies, giving you more time to attack.
  • Deflect Projectiles – Hitting the block button at a precise moment sends back a bullet or arrow to the attacker.
  • Block Projectiles – Knives and arrows are now blocked if used at the right time.
  • Power Attack – Holding the R2 on PlayStation or RT button on Xbox now deals extra damage and disrupts enemy attacks and blocks.
  • Block Charge – While blocking, you can tackle an opponent in front and knock them down.
  • Stab – Silent takedowns can now be used behind enemies.
  • Windmill – A spinning attack that has a decent area of effect.
  • Ground Pound – Like Mario, you can thump the ground and stagger enemies around you.
  • Ledge Takedown – Pull a zombie or a foe to the ground below while on a ledge, Assassin’s Creed style.
  • Stab Followup – After stabbing an enemy from behind, you can throw a knife at another enemy.
  • Smash – Like Mario again, you can jump in the air and take out foes from above. It’s a bit more violent, however, as Aiden smashes his opponent’s head into the ground multiple times.
  • Precise Aiming – Aim is increased for all ranged weapons when you press the right stick.
  • Power Shot – This combat skill increases piercing and overall damage for all ranged weapon shots.
  • Serial Shot – You can now fire three arrows at a time after using Precise Aiming.
  • Smash Jump – After using a Smash attack, you can instantly jump up, making escapes easier.
  • Parkour Shot – Once again, like Assassin’s Creed, time slows down when you use ranged weapons while parkouring.

  • Sleek Runner – Your speed increases while going on obstacles like slopes, balance boards, climbing pipes, etc.
  • Slide – You can now slide under objects while running by holding the circle or B button.
  • Slide Jump – Similar to the Mirror’s Edge series, you can jump after a slide in the same momentum.
  • Afterboost – After using specific parkour moves, your movement speed boosts up for a few seconds.
  • Dash – Holding the left stick down while running will let you move faster.
  • Dart – Pressing the left stick will give you a temporary boost in running speed for a brief moment.
  • Stealth Movement – Your sneaking speed gets a boost. You can also use a Crouch Jump.

  • Bash – You can hit adversaries without stopping your speed. Simply press R2 or RT while running.
  • Enemy Jump – You can now leap off foes while in a dart or a dash.
  • Tic Tac – Similarly to Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, you can now run on horizontal surfaces like an advertisement board.
  • Wall Run – Aidan can now run up walls for a brief timeframe.
  • Wall Run Jump – Easily running up surfaces, you can jump at the top of a wall run movement.
  • Wall Combos – Tic Tacs and Wall Runs can be used in combos.
