Are Smite servers down? How to check the server status

Whenever a new update launches for any game, you can expect the servers to wash with people wanting to check it out. Smite, the online MOBA that spans consoles and PCs is no different. Plenty of players are keen to check the game out when new content launches or a new god or item receives specific changes to alter the current meta. If the Smite servers start to run a bit heavy, how can you tell that they’re down?

The developers behind Smite, Hi-Rez, have a status website for all of their games, including Realm Royale, Paladins, and Rogue Company. You can check them all out at a single location, and they’ll even list out the current changes happening to a game. For example, if Smite is currently being patched and is in the progress of having the latest update verified to the server, you’ll be able to see that in the past incidents sections. This way, you can see what the technical team is doing about any current issues.

If you want a more in-depth breakdown of the specific console you’re playing on, you can click on the Smite icon, and a drop-down menu will appear showing the server status for each one. You’ll be able to see if it’s functioning on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, or on the Epic Game servers.
