The newest team in the National Hockey League, the Seattle Kraken, is slated to begin NHL play in the 2021-22 season. The 32nd team of the league does not have any players on their roster, but the Kraken have, in fact, already released their logos and branding for their inaugural season. So considering that, you might be wondering if you can use the Kraken and their logos in NHL 21, whether it be in Franchise mode or HUT? We have the answer to that question now that the game has launched, and it might not make fans in the Pacific Northwest happy.
The Seattle Kraken logos and branding are not in NHL 21, despite the fact that the team name and branding were released months prior to the game’s October launch. Additionally, the Kraken name is not among the play-by-play names that can be chosen in the Creation Suite. The city name, though, is in NHL 21, although that is not much of a surprise given that the WHL’s Seattle Thunderbirds are also in the game.
Despite the fact that the Kraken name, nor the team logos, are in NHL 21, you can still attempt to re-create their jerseys through the game’s Creation Suite. Doing so should not be all that difficult either, given the simplistic look that the Kraken have gone for. All you’ll really need is to slap the right looking letter S in the center of the jersey and pick the right colors.
