Best Vora builds in Paladins

Hit like a hammer.

Vora is a Flanker in Paladins. She is capable of getting into the heart of the enemy team, doing huge damage, picking off a single vital target, and sowing all kinds of panic in the enemy lines as they realize they are suddenly outnumbered.

Recommended Videos

In this guide, we will run through some good build options for Vora, as well as all her talents and abilities so you know exactly what to do when you get behind enemy lines.

Talents

  • Unyielding Pressure – Your Dark Siphon now deals an additional 10% of the target’s maximum Health as damage over 1.5s.
  • Relentless Presence – Tendril gains a second charge.
  • Deafening Silence – Obliteration now Silences enemies hit for 1.5s.

Abilties

Deadly Scythe

A Scythe that sends out projectiles that deal damage over a short duration. Its attack chain is Medium, Light, Light, Heavy. Light does 300 damage every 0.35 seconds, Medium does 470 damage every 1 second, and Heavy does 680 damage every 1.2 seconds.

Passive: Hits with your scythe provide a Darkness stack. Using Dark Siphon or Obliteration will consume all stacks, healing you for 100 health per stack and augmenting the ability if at five stacks.

Harbinger’s Wrath

Channel your wrath to hunt your enemies, increase your movement speed by 80%, and the damage you take by 30%. Select a target in range with the attack button to hit them, Stunning, Crippling, and Silencing them. Enemies about 66% of their max health take 1100 damage, enemies below 66% of their max health are Executed instantly. This ability lasts for five seconds, or until you refire it to cancel.

Obliteration

Jump up and slash down and around you, dealing 500 damage and applying a small knockback to enemies hit. While using this ability, you are immune to damage and crowd control. Using this ability with five stacks of Darkness deal an additional 300 damage and slows enemies hit by 30% for 2 seconds.

Dark Siphon

Launch a vicious projectile from your Scythe, dealing 200 damage on hit and an additional 400 damage over 1.5 seconds. Hitting an enemy causes you to regenerate 300 health over 2 seconds. Using this ability with five Darkness stacks will cripple the enemy hit for 1.5 seconds.

Tendril

Manifest your will, propelling yourself towards your target with a tendril. Players you hit are pulled towards you.

Potential Builds

All the below builds use the Relentless Presence talent, which is considered to be the best by the majority of the player base.

Nimble Assassin

Cards

  • A Change of Faith – 2
  • The Maw’s Embrace – 2
  • Otherworldly Tether – 3
  • Elegant Pairing – 4
  • Dance with Fate – 4

Items

  • Cauterize
  • Nimble

For this build, the card selection gives you great movement options and offers plenty of protection when you are ready to strike. Maw’s Embrace will boost your movement speed when landing damage from your attacks. Your abilities are also set up to slightly reduce each other’s cooldown. For items, Cauterize will reduce an enemy’s chance to heal their way out of trouble, while Nimble will give you more movement speed.

Healing Tendril Build

Cards

  • Elegant Pairing – 1
  • What May Come – 1
  • Dance with Fate – 2
  • Sharpened Resolve – 5
  • New Purpose – 2

This build is all about Tendril. Using the ability will buff Dark Siphon and Obliteration, and Tendril enjoys a reduced cooldown. You will benefit from extra health from New Purpose and damage reduction from using Tendril. Finally, Consuming Darkness stacks heals you for an extra 50 HP per stack. This build is all about getting in with Tendril, then having the durability to do maximum damage and win a fight. The items here are pretty much the same, except you might build into Haven as an item to give you even more survivability.

Shielding Tendril

  • Otherworldly Tether – 4
  • Dane with Fate – 1
  • What May Come – 3
  • New Purpose – 2
  • Sharpened Resolve – 5

This will give you some fat shields after using Tendril, and healthy damage reduction for three sections, adding a lot of value to those shelves. Items wise, follow the same logic as before, with movement spend, healing reduction, and any extra survivability that you need.

The success of all these builds really boils down to knowing when to use your stacks and abilities to get that extra healing, and saving sometimes saving your Tendril as an exit plan. If you find yourself repeatedly ending up in bad situations with no way out, we would advise the extra Tendril charge to be your priority, then build the rest of your cards around that.
