The IX characters are finally available in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’s battle royale mode, Blackout. Since much earlier in the game, the Voyage of Despair versions of Bruno, Diego, Scarlette, and Shaw have been available but it’s only this week that the IX characters have released. To unlock them, you need to complete each of their individual character missions. These are hidden until you discover them in-game though, so if you want to know how to unlock IX Scarlette in Black Ops 4 Blackout, we’ve got the information you seek.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout – How To Unlock IX Scarlette

Like all the other IX characters in Blackout, you need to first find Scarlette’s character item. This is the Steel Bracer, which can found on zombie corpses. To find zombies, you need to head for the blue beams of light at the start of the match, as that’s where you’ll find the Mystery Box. Zombies will spawn all around it; slay them all and keep looting them until you find the Steel Bracer.

Now rather than getting a kill with a specific weapon or item, Scarlette’s objective is actually fairly simple. All you need to do after finding the Steel Bracer and keeping it in your inventory, is loot a supply drop. Obviously supply drops contain the best loot, so hordes of players often hunt them down but as long as you pay attention to the cargo helicopter that flies into the map and drops it off, you should be able to loot one without too many problems.

After that, all you need to do is finish the game with the Steel Bracer in your inventory and by the time you head back to the lobby, IX Scarlette will be unlocked.

Have you unlocked Diego yet?
