Before we get into the main body of this article, we want to put a spoiler warning. If you have yet to reach specific points in the Red Dead Redemption 2 campaign, or have an interest in playing the game but have not been able to yet, then this article contains massive spoilers for the main story.
Now, with that out of the way, if you are looking for a tuberculosis cure in Red Dead Redemption 2, we have all the information you will need, but you are not going to like it. As you play through the story of Red Dead Redemption 2, everything starts to slip out of control. Things are compounded when Arthur Morgan, your character, becomes ill. After a visit to the doctor, Arthur is informed that he has tuberculosis. While there is a cure for tuberculosis now, at the time the game is set, there was none, and tuberculosis was effectively a death sentence.
To mirror the massive impact that the disease had and continues to have in some parts of the world, Rockstar opted not to put any mystical or magical cure for Arthur in the game. There is no secret mission, or hidden item, or a strange combination of herbs that can cure him, no matter how many videos out there say there is.
Arthur’s death, and the switch in narrative focus to a young John Marston, is just part of the tale that Rockstar wanted to tell in Red Dead Redemption 2, and it cannot be avoided.
