With games like this, aiming at multiplayer fans, there’s always a chance that developers and publishers could be going for extensive monetization efforts such as microtransactions to unlock skins, powers, modes, and more.

So, this brings up the question – does Ghost of Tsushima: Legends have microtransactions? Luckily enough, we already have the answer ready for you here.

Is there microtransactions in Ghost of Tsushima: Legends?

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends approaches an entirely different ground compared to the original single-player action-adventure, which had tremendous commercial success and unexpectedly built quite the fanbase. On this note, there was at least a tiny chance that microtransactions could be happening.

However, Sucker Punch has already made it clear that it has no plans for that to happen, neither when it releases this fall or later in its life cycle.

“There are no microtransactions in Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, and we have absolutely no plans to add them,” said the American developer in a note shortly after the announcement of the project.

“All of the content is unlocked through play,” the statement added, pointing out that, while there will be customization items for characters, those won’t be locked behind paywalls nor will include even the chance to purchase them with real money.

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends will be available for free to those who own the original Ghost of Tsushima, focusing on cooperative gameplay with 2-player story missions and 4-player horde-like survival missions against Oni enemies and more fantastical creatures than the base title.

It’ll be class-based, with four classes including Samurai, Hunter, Ronin, Assassin, and deep customization options for the appearance of the characters and the way they perform throughout the game.
