You can set the Shot Timing from one of three options: Shots and Layups, Shots only, or Real Player %. Choosing Shots and Layups will mean that both shots and layups will be affected by the timing you set it to be. If you set this to Shots only, layups will not be affected by how early or late that you are. Lastly, the Real Player % option will disregard all shot timing. Rather, the shots you take with a player will be timed either poorly or efficiently, depending on how good the actual player is at shooting.
