Thanks to the introduction of new shooting mechanics, it’s going to take time to get better at making them regularly. However, you can make sinking shots a bit easier on yourself by adjusting the Shot Timing settings. Why would this help? Changing the timing setting can adjust how you need to shoot and determine how you want user timing to affect shots in 2K21. So how do you change the Shot Timing settings? Let’s go over what you have to do.
To change the Shot Timing settings, click on the Features tab at the home screen and select Controller Settings. From here, you will see many options regarding shots that you can change. To change the Shot Timing settings, scroll down with the left stick until to get to the option for it, and then choose the setting you want to go with.
You can set the Shot Timing from one of three options: Shots and Layups, Shots only, or Real Player %. Choosing Shots and Layups will mean that both shots and layups will be affected by the timing you set it to be. If you set this to Shots only, layups will not be affected by how early or late that you are. Lastly, the Real Player % option will disregard all shot timing. Rather, the shots you take with a player will be timed either poorly or efficiently, depending on how good the actual player is at shooting.
