The Maiden’s Rhapsody is a seasonal event that pops up every few years in Final Fantasy XIV. First seen in 2015, the event returned in 2017 and is back in 2020 for the third time.
The event runs from Thursday, May 28, 2020, at 1:00 a.m. to Monday, June 22, 2020, at 7:59 a.m. (PDT).
This event brings Iroha from Final Fantasy XI, who’s somehow ended up in the world of FFXIV. Completing the event will earn you Iroha’s outfit and the Seasonal Event achievement, “Heaven Eleven.”
To start the event, pick up the quest “A Journey to Remember” in Limsa Lominsa’s Upper Decks (X: 11.5, Y: 11.2) by speaking with Remumu.
Keep in mind; if you’ve already completed this event in a previous year, you won’t be able to do it a second time. If you head to the starting point for the quest but don’t see a quest marker, you’ve already completed it.
You’ll be sent to Costa del Sol to speak with Remumu again. After a quick cutscene explains the story, head south to X: 32, Y:33, and wait for the FATE “Our Favorite Pastime.” Once you’ve slayed your crabs, head to Bulwark Hall in Limsa Lominsa to move on to the next step.
Next up is the FATE “the Way of the Samurai” in Central Shroud, around X: 11, Y: 23. Deal with your demons, then head to New Gridania. Iroha will be waiting at X: 11.8, Y: 13.2, with another cutscene.
You’ll then need to visit Southern Thanalan to complete the FATE “Serket Breaker.” After your battle, meet Iroha at the Quicksand in Ul’dah at X:11.7, Y:9.4.
The final FATE, “The Key to Amatsu: Kyori,” takes place in Upper La Noscea, at X:26.8, Y:22.8. After the conclusion of this FATE, see Iroha in Bulwark Hall a final time. Head back upstairs to the Drowning Wench to speak with Remumu again to complete the quest and receive your rewards.
