How to complete Treasure Hunts in Weird West

Take part in the western gold rush.

After putting a few hours into Weird West, players will eventually discover an unexplained Treasure Map after gunfights. It may appear as though this item is simply a souvenir, but Treasure Maps actually unlock a new area within the game’s map that bears several pieces of loot. Here’s where you can find a map and participate in a Treasure Hunt.

To begin a Treasure Hunt, you’ll have to first pick up a Treasure Map from fallen human enemies or crates. None of the maps have specific locations, so it is best to just continue looting dead bodies until one appears. Once a Treasure Map is added to the inventory, you’ll then be able to travel to a new “Secret Stash” location on the map — highlighted by a question mark icon (as shown below).

Once inside the area, you can follow the waypoints that lead to a “X” in the ground. This is where you can dig to discover treasures, such as Golden Aces of Spades, Nimp Relics, Gold Bars, and even weapons. The Golden Aces and Nimp Relics are key items that should undoubtedly be picked up, as these are essentially currencies that grant new perks and abilities. Additionally, those who find Gold Bars can take them to a Blacksmith to boost the damage of any weapon.
