How to find Necroray Eggs and their mounts in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands

Congratulations, it's a demon.

You can never have enough mounts in World of Warcraft, and the Shadowlands expansion has given us a ton of new companions. They might even take to the skies one day, if/when Blizzard gets around to adding flying to Shadowlands. Until then, we can be content with increasing our mount supply, and that includes the Necroray Eggs that can turn into fully-grown hellspawn.

Necroray Eggs come from reward boxes you earn for Covenant Callings; in this case, you can receive the eggs as payment for completing quests in Maldraxxus. The eggs can come from the Tribute of the Ambitious or the Tribute of the Duty-Bound, although the drops are extremely rare (around a 3% chance).

If you get one of the Necroray Eggs from your rewards, you’ll be a foster parent of an with the character you used to open the box. The eggs take three days to hatch, and those days are in real-time, so you’ll need to watch your clock in the real world before you get any results out of the egg. After the time has elapsed, the item will become an Oozing Necroray Egg, which means it’s ready to hatch.

Open the egg, and one of three new mounts will emerge: The Bulbous Necroray, the Infested Necroray, and the Pestilent Necroray. None of these three sounds like anything you would want to touch with your body, but regardless, you now have a new mount if you can stomach all of the fluid.
