How to fix the Down on the Street Takemura holocall bug in Cyberpunk 2077

Goro has been causing some problems.

Nothing comes without a price, and for Cyberpunk 2077 players this means that a recent patch to fix some bugs in the game has introduced a new game-breaking one that is stopping some players from progressing through the story.

During the Down on the Street quest, players need to meet up with Takemura and go and visit Wakako. You need to get some important information from her to continue your investigation into Araska. Many players are running into an issue where Takemura will call you, but the holocall will bug out, and the story and dialogue will not progress.

CD Projekt Red are working on a fix, and has recently given out information on a potential workaround for the problem. This is by no means a guaranteed fix, and will only have a chance of working if you have a gamesave from before Takemura and V leave Wakako’s office. This is not something all players will have, but it is at least something you can try.

  1. Load a gamesave before Takemura and V leave Wakako’s office.
  2. Finish the conversation with Takemura outside the office right away
  3. Right after the finished conversation and when the quest was updated, skip 23h.
  4. See if the holocall triggers and the dialogue with Takemura starts

The basis of the fix appears to be the 23 hour skip, so it would seem like something goes wrong somewhere while you wait for Takemura to call you. If you just rush that part, CD Projekt Red seems to feel that it should work.

If this doesn’t fix it for you, all you can really do is wait for CDPR to release the hotfix that they are currently working on.
