How to get the Carpal companion in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands

Blizzard is not responsible for any injury that may come to owners of Carpal.

For some people, every day can be Halloween. This probably applies to the Necrolords in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, whose home area of Maldraxxus is home to several components you need to create a skeleton hand companion named Carpal. The latest update has finally revealed how to get all three items you need, and we’ll show you where to find the whole trio.

Animated Radius

We’ll start with the item that has been available for a little while. The Animated Radius is up for sale with the Undying Army Quartermasters. You can find one representative of their staff in Oribos, as well as your Sanctum in Maldraxxus if you have joined the Necrolord covenant. To purchase the Animated Radius, you need 250 Polished Pet Charms. You can find these in bulk while doing various world quests, killing rare enemies, and opening treasure chests all over Azeroth. If you need to farm extras, Polished Pet Charms are bound to your Blizzard account, so you can use alts to keep doing the same daily quests if you find a hotspot for the charms.

Animated Ulna

We previous posted a guide for the Extra Pieces world quest, which is a pet battle requiring you to defeat Rotgut. Just recently, Blizzard added the Animated Ulna as a reward for winning this battle. Take advantage of our strategy guide and show Rotgut how powerful your per arsenal can be.

Flexing Phalanges

We listed the Animated Radius and Animated Ulna before this one because you won’t see it without collecting the others. Southwest of the Theater of Pain is the Iron Trench zone. Head to 47.4, 62.1, located on the spot marked here:

Once you reach the top of the hill, yank the twitching arm out of the mouth of the skull; it won’t hurt you, despite its erratic movements. With all three items collected, open your bags, and click any of the three components to assemble your new Carpal companion. Make sure to keep it on a leash no longer than six feet when you go to the park.
