How to get the Honeyback Harvester bumblebee mount in World of Warcraft

G.O.B. is still not on board with this idea.

Riding a giant bumblebee may not have been on your bucket list, but Blizzard has many ways of surprising you. The Honeyback Harvester bumblebee mount is available for Alliance players (sorry, the Horde is out of luck on this one), but you’re going to have to work for this one.

To begin, you’ll need to earn Bumbles as a pet. There are many requirements to get to this point, so strap in. First, you need to start and finish the Mildenhall Meadery quest path, which begins in the Upper Deck of Stormsong Valley. You can hover over the map to find the correct ‘!’ leading to Mayhem at Mildenhall Meadery, and the story will conclude with Back to the Lab! Once that’s over with, you need to start farming for an item called Annealed Honey Amulet. It’s a rare drop from Bumbling Bees, Enraged Swarmers, Beehemoths, Flowing Honeys, and Bubbling Meads — we’re talking less than 1% from each of them. Get cozy and make a playlist if you need.

The name “Rosaline Mildenhall” on the amulet refers to the next NPC you need to find. She’s in four possible locations in the city of Bolarus: Scribes and Nobles, Goldman’s Cafe, an unnamed shop in the south edge of town (72.4, 73.3), or an “inaccessible building” at 58.1, 66.3; if she ends up in this final spot, you’ll need to choose “Interact with target” and speak to her through the walls. She’ll give you Rosaline’s Letter, which you can take to Ancel Mildenhall, back in the area where you worked on the ques tline. You’ll then complete a quest named Bumbles the Bee, and you’ll need to complete the daily Let’s Bee Friends once per day for seven days before you unlock the Let’s Bee Friends achievement and the Bumbles pet.

Okay, now you’re ready to get the mount.

With Bumbles in your pet collection, talk to Barry the beekeeper, at 69.2, 26.8. You’ll need to track the pheromones to a beehive at 63.0, 26.6. Pick up some of the Thin Jelly, take it to the Honeyback Hivemother, and then talk to Barry once more. You can now start earning reputation with the Honeyback Hive, and the best way to do this is to gather more Thin Jellies and kill the Honey Smasher rare elite that spawns at the northern end of the hive. Keep turning them into Barry until you earn your own Honeyback Harvester, and be sure to fly it everywhere to prove how hard you worked for this mount.
