How to get the Much-coveted Mora minion in Final Fantasy XIV

Ocean fishing in Final Fantasy XIV offers many rewards, such as the Much-coveted Mora minion. But if you want this cute little wavekin, you have some work to do. It’ll take time and dedication, and a specific love for fishing. If you’re not a fisherman and you want this minion, you’ll have to unlock ocean fishing voyages.

Earn 1,000,000 points from ocean fishing

Players can only earn the Much-coveted Mora minion through achievement rewards. By earning 1,000,000 total points from ocean fishing, you’ll unlock the achievement, “On a Boat IV.” In your achievements menu, you’ll find this under Crafting & Gathering, specifically within the Fisher category.

You earn these points by simply participating in ocean fishing, reeling in catches alongside your party members on the ship. The achievement counts cumulative points over time, so you don’t have to earn everything in one sitting. Like other achievement rewards, the Much-coveted Mora minion is untradable and unsellable. You won’t be able to get this off the market board, so you’ll need to earn the minion on your own.

Once you get the 1,000,000 points for your achievement, speak with Jonathas in Old Gridania (X:10, Y:6). He’ll give you the item you need. Use the item to get your very own Much-coveted Mora minion and show off your love for ocean fishing.
