How to get the secret tape on Downtown in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2

Another secret tape, on a higher level.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

There’s a secret tape players need to find in each Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 levels. It’s one of the many park goals players can choose to complete to advance the level to gain access to the next level. Sometimes, the secret tape is out in the open, but it requires a few tricks for you to access. Luckily, you only need to find the one on the level. For Downtown, the secret tape is in a higher location, and you need to reach the roof.

When you first start the level, the easiest way to reach the secret tape is to turn around and jump the ramp to the street above. From there, take a left and go down the road until you see the dump truck with a ramp and jump into the parking garage. Ride up there until you go over the glass bridge, which should be where the letter T is for S-K-A-T-E. On the other side, there’s a large bowl. You want to jump across to the other building to reach the secret tape. The best way to do that is to gain some speed on the bowl by running up one side, hitting another. When you have enough momentum, jump over the ramp to sail across to the other building.

When you reach the other side of the building from this location, you should have hit the tape. There are alternative routes to make it to this building. Some players could use the pipe to the left to connect these two wall slides and then climb onto it through another rail. But we were able to do it with a quick jump across the gap.
