How To Install Addons In World of Warcraft: Classic

Manually

You have to install addons manually. To download the addon, unzip it, then add it to your game files. You need to find the installation folder for the game, and you can locate it by hitting the small cog icon on the game’s section in Battle.net. Under World of Warcraft, you should find a folder than contains “_classic_,” and in there you will find an Addons folder. All you need to do is drag your uncompressed files into that folder.

Keep in mind; the Addons file might be in a folder called “Interface.”

Using The Twitch Client

Many players use the Twitch Client to install addons and keep them up to date in the traditional World of Warcraft game. You can also use it for WoW: Classic.

• Open the Twitch app
• Go to Mods, then World of Warcraft
• From the drop-down, select the folder for WoW Classic

The only issue with this is that Twitch won’t stop you from trying to install an ordinary World of Warcraft addon for WoW: Classic. Make sure you are installing the correct addons for the game. It is best to search for the addon with the word “classic,” to be sure.
