How to recruit Shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX on Nintendo Switch

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Shiny Pokémon make their debut in Mystery Dungeon Rescue Team DX and as you can imagine, they are as hard to find now as they are in titles like Sword and Shield.

Granted, not every Pokémon can be Shiny in-game but there is still a fair few for you to collect.

So, how do you go about finding one? And how do you add it to your teams?

Shiny Pokémon, like any other Pokémon game, are completely random. There is no way to guarantee to find one or getting them but areas with Stronger Pokémon seem to have an increased spawn chance.

Only 27 Pokémon have the ability to be shiny. These include:

Butterfree
Ninetales
Rapidash
Electrode
Exeggcute
Exeggutor
Starmie
Magikarp
Gyarados
Ditto
Dragonite
Hoothoot
Noctowl
Ampharos
Azumarill
Sudowoodo
Aipom
Espeon
Wobbuffet
Shuckle
Corsola
Spinda
Altaria
Zangoose
Metagross
Ambipom
Lickilicky

When taken down by your leader, there is a slim chance they will join you but the chances increase if the leader is holding a Friend Bow

Its just really down to luck, so Arceus speed out there Rescue Teams in your hunt for all of them.
