How to solve the Rune Locked Vault puzzle in Torghast in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands

Torghast is not known for many puzzles, but there’s one that may randomly appear for you when you’re doing your tower runs in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. At any point in the tower, you may encounter a Rune Locked Vault. This giant chest bound with steel chains halts your progress to the next floor, but we’ll show you how to get past this riddle.

The chest has four different buttons, each with a color and a rune (we’ll refer to the runes for the sake of consistency in the rest of the guide). Each rune unlocks one of the chains, and each button changes a certain number of runes: one button changes all four, another button changes three, a third button changes two runes, and a fourth button will only change one rune.

To solve this puzzle, you need to find the button that changes all four runes. Press this button until its corresponding rune unlocks its matching chain (the one right behind the button). Now, you can move to the button that changes all three runes, and do the same thing. When you’ve unlocked the matching chain, repeat the process for the third rune, and then one more time for the final rune. This will unlock the Rune Locked Vault, creating a portal to the next floor and allowing you to choose your next Anima Power for Torghast.
