Starting Field Research begins by hitting a PokéStop. Quests will be given to you at random and have a set of rewards to obtain when finished.
Today is the day trainers from all over the world begin a new type of journey in Pokémon GO. Field Research has begun and we’ll tell you how to start and complete these new quests.
Getting Started
The first step in getting started with your research is to simply spin your nearest PokéStop. Once you do that, you will be given a quest to complete. You can get up to three quests at a time and if you think one of them is too difficult to finish, you can skip it and grab another one.
Available Quests
The quests available in game will be given to you at random and will range in difficulty from easy to hard. Some quests may be difficult for some to complete, like leveling up your trainer, if you’ve already reached Level 40 or you’re in the middle of leveling up in the high 30’s. Just remember that you can skip a quest and get a new one if you find it too difficult.
You can complete multiple quests in a day, and the more difficult the quest, the greater reward you will receive.
Rewards
Completing Field Research quests will award you with a variety of items, experience, stardust, candy, and berries. You can find what kind of reward you will get by simply looking to the right of the quest. Completing more quests will get you more rewards.
After completing your first Field Research, you will be rewarded with a stamp towards Research Breakthrough. You can only get one stamp per day and it is rewarded after completing your first quest. Get seven stamps for your Research Breakthrough and you could be rewarded with a special encounter with a Legendary Pokémon.
Now that you know how to get started and what kind of rewards you will earn, it’s time to get out there and get some research done for Professor Willow!
