How to unlock the JAK-12 Shotgun in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

New weapons arrive every so often in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Some of these new pieces of equipment are items you earn by leveling up through the current season’s battle pass and reaching a certain level. Despite those being on the battle pass, they’re available to other. Alternatively, some weapons are options you can earn by completing various challenges by playing in various multiplayer game modes. The JAK-12 Shotgun, while highlighted and spoken about during the Haunting of Verdansk 2020 update, the shotgun has already been available for over a week.

There are two ways for you gain access to the weapon. You have the choice of purchasing a blueprint of the weapon directly from the COD store, or you can unlock the base weapon by completing various challenges. These challenges can be completed in any of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer game modes.

The only challenge you need to complete to unlock the JAK-12 is to kill three enemies using a shotgun at hip-fire. This means you do not look down your weapon sights when taking them out. You merely keep the weapon out, and fire. While a more inaccurate method to take out an enemy, it’s an ideal technique when using a shotgun against enemy players that are probably not too far away from you.
