How to use new accessibility options in World of Warcraft

Ensure you don't experience any bad time playing Shadowlands or Classic with these options.

Video games are for everyone, and Blizzard is aware of this, consistently updating World of Warcraft to make it accessible for games from all walks of life. Their latest update for both the retail version of the game, including the Shadowlands expansion, and WoW Classic, makes some adjustments to the game’s accessibility options.

The two most recent hotfixes in the accessibility options affect two main areas. To activate them, open your Options menu, and select Accessibility from the list. On the Accessibility window, you should see a pull-down tab for Motion Sickness. The Reduce Camera Motion option now does two things: it hides anima strands when you are a ghost inside the Shadowlands expansion, and it hides visual effects when you’re using the Cloak of Ve’nari or the Lingering Cloak of Ve’nari while inside the Maw.

If you want to decrease the risk of any visuals affecting you while you play, combine the Keep Character Centered and Reduce Camera Motion options, available with one button option in the Accessibility menu.

These options will need to be adjusted in both versions of the game, so be sure that you check them in both WoW Classic and the Retail options menus. There are several other options available, including colorblind filters that can be individually adjusted based on player need, and spelling out the words “Rare” and “Epic” for loot.
